Adventures: Bristol Botanical Gardens

So yesterday Harry and I decided to go and explore Bristol a little bit more. I had heard about the Botanical gardens but had never got round to visiting them. They were fantastic! We got serious garden envy - in particular the glasshouses. Entry is free for students and only a couple of pounds donation otherwise. Anyone who has a couple of hours free in Bristol I definitely recommend a visit.

The enormous giant lily pads in the tropical glasshouse. It was so tempting to hop onto one. Each lily pad can hold up to 70 pounds - impressive!

Artichoke flowers.

Only part of the fantastic succulent selection.

So fluffy looking! (But obviously very spiky in reality)

Harry was very impressed by the cotton flowers - embarrassingly he thought that cotton came from sheep... I was speechless.
